Why choose it

A process suited to pressure pipelines

In the filament-winding process, resin-impregnated glass fibres are laid on a rotating mandrel at precise angles (circumferential, helical or longitudinal). The result is a lightweight pipe that resists pressure and corrosion, with adjustable ring stiffness.

  • Suited to pressure pipelines as well as gravity networks
  • Range from DN 200 to DN 4000, ring stiffness adjustable to the installation
  • Coupling joint "Full-Face" with elastomer seal, with repair and transition couplings
  • Standards EN 14364 and ISO 23856; factories certified ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
  • Diameters, pressures and stiffness classes defined project by project with Marc

Benefits

The benefits at a glance

Corrosion resistance

No internal or external corrosion: no cathodic protection, no coating to maintain.

Pressure resistance

Designed for internal pressure and water hammer: water supply, pumping mains, hydroelectric plants.

Hydraulic efficiency

Smooth wall, low hydraulic head losses: optimal flow.

Lightweight

About 1/4 of the weight of steel and 1/10 of concrete: handling without heavy equipment, fast installation.

Low footprint

Pipes of different diameters can be nested for transport, which reduces transport costs and carbon footprint.

Made-to-measure design

Stiffness, pressure and thicknesses tailored to each structure.

FAQ

Your questions about filament-wound GRP

When should I prefer filament winding to centrifugal casting?

Centrifugally cast GRP is recognised for its performance in gravity networks and suits medium pressure; for high pressures, filament winding remains better suited. We compare both with you.

Is GRP suitable for hydropower?

Yes. GRP is used for transmission and pumping mains in hydropower plants: its smooth wall limits head loss and its design withstands the working pressure.

What pipe lengths are available?

They depend on the diameter and the project. We confirm the available lengths and transport constraints when we make the offer.
